Rest in the protective arms of Jesus the Shepard. He will lead you and guide you beside the still waters, Psalm 23. Even though we are living in crazy times, we can find peace in Jesus. Jesus is the Great Shepard, he knows where the green pastures are. we must learn to follow and trust Jesus in every area of our lives. We must intentional about resting our mind and body. You can be lying down and yet your mind can be racing with all the things that you need to do. We must do what 1 Peter 5:7 tell us to do and cast all of our cares on God. We are not strong enough to handle all of the cares that we see or encounter on a daily bases. The cares don’t belong to you. Jesus carried them all, when he died on the cross and for that reason we must give them all to him.  If  you are having trouble giving God everything, be honest with him and tell him that. God is not a mean task master, he is all knowing and he loves honesty. So never hide from God, run to him. He knows how to clean up all the dirty diaper messes in our lives. Finally, we must learn to trust Jesus enough to give him everything, the good, the bad and the ugly.

It’s time to live a transformed life. The caterpillar is a fascinating creature. It starts out as a small, insignificant creature that crawls about, but overtime, it grows and becomes something amazing. This process of growth and transformation is a good example of our faith life. Just as the caterpillar has to go through a period of distress, discomfort and opposition.  We too must to go through things in order to grow and become stronger.  When the caterpillar is transformed on the inside of the cocoon, the process in hidden. Certainly our faith growth is hidden at times too. Until one day we realize, hey I don’t think like that anymore. Unquestionably, this faith walk is not an easy walk.

Faith demands opposition, it took opposition for the caterpillar to be transformed into a butterfly. So we must be strong in the Lord and in our faith, so when the opposition or distress comes we will be able to stand and stay in position until the transformation comes. Undeniably, if the caterpillar was released from the cocoon to early, it would not survive. Lastly, the process in the cocoon gave the butterfly it’s wings to be able to fly. Surprisingly, the very thing that we don’t like, sometimes is the very thing that God will use to cause us to fly. What situation is your is God using as a cocoon?

Love is one of the most powerful emotions we experience in our lives. It can give us the strength to overcome any obstacle and it can be the glue that keeps us together during tough times. Love is also very important to our faith. We need love to keep our faith strong and alive. Without love, our faith can become weak and faded. But with love, our faith can grow and thrive. Just like we need food and water to survive, faith needs love to thrive. God is love and Galatians 5:6 tells us that faith works by love. So we need love in order for our faith to work properly. Love is like oxygen to our faith, without love our faith couldn’t breath and live.

Faith and love must work together as a team. If our faith is not working, we must evaluate our love walk, to see if there’s any holes or gaps in it. In the event that there’s any holes in our love walk, we need to repair them as quickly as possible, so our faith life with not be hindered in anyway. Most people don’t connect their love walk and faith walk together, but they are very much connected. Just like a plants need soil and sunlight to grow, faith needs love to grow. Love is the soil that causes our faith to grow.  We need a healthy love walk and a healthy faith walk to be successful in this faith journey.

2 Corinthians 1:20 is a powerful verse that tells us that all of God’s promises are yes and amen.” This clearly tells us that all of God’s promises have a “yes” and “amen” attached to them . This means that we can trust that God will always keep His promises, and that we can be certain of His faithfulness. How do we apply this to our lives? We align our thoughts, the words that we speak and our prayers with God’s promises so we can see them manifested in our lives. Let me give you a simple example, if you are believing God for the salvation of your child or children. You would go to the word of God and find promises concerning the salvation of Children, like the one in Isaiah 49:25. But this is what the Lord says: “The Lord says: Even the captives of warriors will be taken, and the tyrant’s loot will escape. I myself will oppose those who oppose you, and I myself will save your children. This promise is so encouraging, who can fight against God and win? Surely no one. Despite all the challenges life can bring, it’s particularly important to keep praying the word of God. Especially when things get crazy. God watches over is word to preform it, Jeremiah 1:12. When you pray the word, God is saying that’s my word, I will do that. Of course we must stay in position until the appoint bloom season come. So keep on watering and nurturing your seed until it blooms. Never give up are give in, because God is faithful; and we must be faithful to water and nurture the seeds of his word.
